I’m writing this letter to Thank You and your staff for caring for my mother. My Sister and myself are very appreciative for the kindness demonstrated to our mother from the time she first visited your facility and throughout her final week of care within her home. I can’t say enough about the sweet, caring and patient nature of your staff, Michelle, Alex and Kim (I’m not positive this is the correct name) were a true blessing to my mother, myself and my sister. It was obviously a very emotional experience for all of us to go through watching our mother break down and ultimately pass away.
Morning of March 4 I called the support number and asked what time a nurse would be coming by the house to check on my mother, Kim was the person that answered the phone call. I could barely get my words out without crying. Kim was very understanding and reassured me she was on her way to check on my mom immediately. When Kim arrived at the house, she bathed my mother, changed her clothing and bedding and set her up with a catheter – I personally witnessed the most caring and compassionate lady! I’m certain Kim had no idea what she was walking into when she arrived at the house. Kim also dealt with my lack of keeping my emotions in check and still made me feel confident I could continue caring for my mother as needed. I was so appreciative knowing my mother was clean and as comfortable as possible considering all she was going through.
Your phone call support staffing that my sister and I would receive from your staff was always prompt and reassuring to get us through whatever questions or concerns we had.
Michelle came by the house Saturday evening, March 2 and helped me greatly with understanding the medications I needed to give my mother and the ones I no longer needed to be concerned with. Michelle’s interaction with my mother, even though my mother wasn’t very aware of what was going on, was truly beautiful and something I will always remember.
Michelle came by the house again the final evening of my mother’s life and again, comforted my mom and talked me through what I was going to need to do with her medications.
Once my mother passed away Monday late into the evening, nearly 11pm, I called the Hospice number and the process began with the RN coming out and verifying the passing of my mother. I didn’t get the RN’s name but again, very kind and compassionate with talking us through what would happen next with my mother’s body.
The folks that removed my mother’s body came at approximately 2am and once again, they were very kind, compassionate and clear as to what they would be doing and how they would remove my mother’s body.
I just wanted you to know what a wonderful, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable staff you have and I truly know in my heart my Mother received the absolute best care possible.
Thank you very much for all that you do for families during such a heartbreaking time.
Respectfully,
Curt S.
